hydrating IV cleanses
In an ongoing effort to provide the Reno community with every health advantage at our disposal, we at Dolce Vita could not be more excited to announce the launch of our IV Hydration Cleanses. We have been following the rise of IV therapies across the nation, and more recently our Northern Nevada market and the reports are in: They. Work.
Whether you’re looking for a little extra pep in your step for a big day, or recovering from a marathon (a marathon with the kids, a marathon celebration, or an actual marathon!) IV Hydration does wonders for the body and the mind as you’re made to sit, relax, and rejuvenate yourself.
IV stands for intravenous, meaning “administered directly into a vein”. That is what makes IV’s such a powerful restoration tool. By supplying the body with the vitamins and fluids it needs directly into your bloodstream the vitamins can bypass the digestive system for more powerful effectiveness. These are usually vitamins people are taking anyways, but not getting the full effect due to the delivery system. An IV treatment is a great way to balance out your body’s diet. For example if you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, an IV treatment is an option for getting Vitamin B-12 usually only found in animal products. Another example are people suffering from celiac disease, their bodies have a hard time digesting certain vitamins in a traditional way.
A lot of people also utilize IV treatments for sports and athletic recovery. Just ran the Reno Tahoe Odyssey and not sure what your first steps to recovery should be? Might we suggest fully hydrating and replenishing what your body has lost! It’s not just about treating yourself, it’s about treating yourself well.
No matter the reason, an IV Hydration Cleanse is a great jump start to help restore and refresh your system.
what to expect
are IV's safe?
Yes, they’re 100% safe. The registered nurses who administer our IV’s have the appropriate training. Licensing and certification for all medical personnel has been acknowledged by the state, and our staff is excited to discuss any questions you have about the service when you come in for a treatment.
how does an IV work?
First, we give you a small shot to numb the area to ease discomfort. We then take our Breath Bar Bags of saline or lactated ringers and insert a small tube into your vein. The IV fluid will be pushed directly to your bloodstream, meaning you reap the benefits of every drop of vitamin or medicine. IVs also help to replace your bodies lost fluids and electrolytes.
does it hurt?
Our experience medical professionals who make the initial insertion are trained to make it as quick and painless as possible, and we do administer a numbing agent in order to help with your comfort. Most people feel nothing more than a pinch, although everyone has a different tolerance for pain.
how long will it take?
It usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes for someone to finish their IV treatment. It’s a relaxed procedure, and we encourage all of our guests to relax in Breathe Bar after your treatment for full relaxation.
do I need to talk to my doctor first?
You are free to, but you don’t need to. IV hydration is a completely elective procedure, and we have a medical physician on-call that will review your medical history and approve treatment.
do you accept insurance?
We do not accept private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.
how do I know if I am eligible for this service?
Minors and people over the age of 65 are currently not eligible, however those who are pregnant or breastfeeding are eligible for the service, depending on the medications they’re taking. Our doctor will review the medical information supplied to be sure there are no risks involved. Our doctor may advise against certain packages based on the information you provide..
what's in the bag?
Our bags begin with a base of normal saline (saltwater) to provide fluid and electrolytes. Additions to our bags can contain a wide range of vitamins and medicine to increase health and wellness. All formulas are developed and approved by a licensed physician.
why does IV therapy cost as much as it does?
Our equipment, ingredients, staff, and insurance are the highest of quality. Unfortunately we are not willing to settle for less, but when you experience the benefits you’ll see why the highest quality is worth the price!
