What Should I Expect?
During your treatment you can expect slight discomfort/heat, similar to the slight scratchiness of a kitten’s tongue licking you.
Are There Things I Should Avoid Before the Treatment?
Tanning is a biggie. We ask that folks avoid tanning (direct sun, sunless tanning or tanning beds, self-tanning creams and sprays) up to 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. We also ask that use of photosensitive creams and medication not be used one week prior to treatment. And no peel skin care treatment or waxing two weeks prior and two weeks after the appointment. Please let your esthetician know if you have a history of cold sores or cosmetic tattooing on or near the treatment area.

How About Prep Before I Come in?
Apply to the area before and after treatment to reduce pain, redness and adverse reactions. Please arrive with a clean face and no makeup, dress comfy with the treatment area modestly exposed.
How Long will I be Home for After this Treatment?
Anticipate the possibility of social “down time” for 2-5 days to allow any redness, swelling or sloughing to subside. Tylenol is recommended for post-treatment discomforts, as well as ice packs, 100% pure aloe and cool towels.
What Do I do to My Face Afterward?
Gently wash the treated area at least twice a day with mild soap and water. Keep all areas clean and moisturized. Build up may form over the treated areas. Do not rub or forcefully remove the build up; allow to slough off naturally. If build-up is forcefully removed, scarring may occur. Once build-up has fallen off, immediately start to use sun block on the treated area.
Avoid extended UV exposure, artificial tanning lamps and spray tans for up to 7 days post-treatment. Using a broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 30 or higher is critical when receiving laser treatments and is recommended for ongoing maintenance.
Sunblock should be applied at least 1 hour before going outdoors. Sunblock should be used on treatment area for at least 6 weeks. Be sure to follow re-application instructions for your product.
