What is Keralese?

What to expect?
Hair growth and a revitalized scalp can be achieved through a series of in-office treatments scheduled every 2 weeks for a total of 6 treatments over 3 months. While some patients experience immediate results, most will see progress gradually at treatments 3-5. We also recommend an in-office maintenance treatment every 1-3 months.
Patients are asked to arrive with clean, dry hair and to skip the styling products. The treatment takes approximately 20-30 minutes where the scalp is treated with the LaseMD Laser —this creates a warm, tingling sensation. KeraFactor serum is then massaged all over the scalp for a gentle, relaxing experience.
How does the treatment work?
Through the use of the LaseMD Laser, Keralase delivers KeraFactor serum through hundreds of micro-channels on the affected area of the scalp. This customized formula of nano-liposomes enhances growth factors and skin proteins resulting in stimulated hair growth.
Are there any side effects to be concerned about?
Short-term immediate risks include redness at the area being treated, although usually this dissipates within 24 hours. Heat and tingling sensations may occur up to a few hours after the treatment, but normally do not last longer. Swelling can also occur and could last for 3-7 days. In some rare instances, swelling and/or redness have lasted several weeks. There also may be peeling at the treated area.
