What to Expect?
Following a numbing treatment, service providers will use the plasma fibroblasing pen to send the ionized energy into your skin in a grid-like pattern. Afterward, a topical ointment is applied to help the skin heal.
What Happens After?
In the week after treatment, the face will be dry and tight with redness and irritation around the treatment area. The dot-like wounds will likely swell, scab and flake away.
Are there things to consider in the healing process?
It is absolutely essential to avoid picking at the surface of the skin during the first seven days post-treatment. Patients should not use lotions and creams that contain perfumes or alcohols or any exfoliating products. Also vigorous exercise, heat and steam should be avoided for 48 hours and contact lenses should not be worn for at least 72 hours following eye treatment. Makeup should not be worn until the scabs have fallen off the skin.
What do I do to my face afterward?
Wait at least two days to wash the face and, once it’s okay, use lukewarm water and a clean, soft washcloth to clean the treatment area.
